Jakarta, SERA once again held the SERA Quality Convention or better known as SQC, which had reached its 16th edition, on Thursday, 22 September 2022. The 2022 SQC was organized to acknowledge all SERA innovators, inspiring them to create new works, solutions, and innovations, and encouraging them to build a culture of innovation when working or creating products and services for customers.
Carried out online from 8.30 am to 3 pm, this event was attended by 759 participants and invitees from all SERA Group business units and branches. The entire agenda was divided into 3 main sessions: the Opening Ceremony, the SQC Final Judging, and the Awarding Session.
This year's SQC differed from the previous editions, as it was not held concurrently with the SERA Day event. Although this year’s awarding session only focused on the winners in various innovation categories, it did not make the event any less exciting. The theme of this year's SQC was SERA Innocreativation, bringing the tagline Make It Happen!.
Opened by a remark from Hendry Christian Wong, the President Director of SERA, the event proceeded with a presentation on Quality Improvement Achievement by Angela Indah Purnamasari, the Head of Quality Management Department of SERA, that spoke about the innovative achievements made by each SERA business group. The event was hosted by Fitra Faizani Andiana and Raviandra Ichlasul Amal from SERA CHR.
The 2022 SQC featured 8 categories, 7 of which were judged live and simultaneously in 7 different Microsoft Teams Webinar rooms from 9.30 am to 12.00 pm. The 7 categories were: (1) QCP – Quality Control Project, (2) QCC NT – Quality Control Circle - Non-Technical, (3) QCC T – Quality Control Circle - Technical, (4) SS NT – Suggestion System - Non-Technical, (5) SS T – Suggestion System - Technical, (6) QCP DT - Quality Control Project - Design Thinking, and (7) QCC NT DT - Quality Control Circle - Non-Technical - Design Thinking. Three finalist teams were selected for each category. In regular categories, finalists competed for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. On the other hand, in each Design Thinking category, namely the Special Recognition for QCC NT Design Thinking and QCP Design Thinking, the finalists contended for only 1 ultimate winner. As for the last category, it was an individual category dubbed the Best Facilitator.
Midway through, the event got even livelier as door prizes were given out to participants and invitees. It was in the afternoon that the event culminated with the long-awaited session: the announcement of the winner of each award category.
