Want to sell a car? Try auction!

There are many ways to sell a car, from simply putting up a “FOR SALE” sign on a car window, list it on online market place, or offer it to a used car dealers. In addition to that, there’s another option for selling car, which is placed it on auction house.

Auction is a very unique way of selling because there will be many people biding on the car at the same time. But the question is, can everyone put their used cars on auction?

Generally, auction is done by a company or conducted for a company who want to sell their operational cars.

But now people who want to auction their cars can bring them to  IBID auction house, which is the subsidiary of PT Serasi Autoraya (SERA).

Better chances to sell the car

In an auction, chances for a car to be sold is higher because auction house has invited prospective visitors who are currently looking for used cars. In other words, the potential buyers are already there.

In IBID auction house, there are more potential buyers as everyone can register and pay the bond to get bidder number (NPL), and not limited only to buyers from company or invited guests.

Chances for cars to be sold in this Astra’s auction house is also higher, because lost bidders can use their NPL for other listed cars.

“Last year we sold 26,000 unit of cars. This year, we plan to sell 30,000 car units from various types and conditions,” said Daddy Doxa Manurung, IBID Chief Operation Officer, quoted from Otomania on Pesta Lelang IBID 2016 at Parkir Timur Senayan, South Jakarta, Saturday (8/10/2016).

Another good thing on auction is that potential buyers do not need to come to the auction place, because they can also participate in an online auction.

Not only that, people can also browse auctioned cars online. Auction participants can review the picture of the cars, price, and other detailed information about the listed cars on “Lot List” part.

Normally,  those who want to place their cars on auction house need to pay attention to the venue and schedule because it is only conducted in one day. For IBID, however, the conventional auction can be done in several places, not only in Jakarta.

So, choose the auction area near to your location, be it in Makassar, Medan, Balikpapan, Semarang, Surabaya, or other cities in Indonesia,

The schedule of the auction can also be adjusted as IBID holds the auction twice a week on Wednesday and Sunday.

Online auction also has its own schedule. You can check the schedule in IBID official website: And as it is online, you can participate on the auction held by IBID anywhere.
