SERA Holds Media Gathering 2018 in Surabaya

Surabaya – PT Serasi Autoraya (SERA) held media gathering cum iftar dinner with journalists at Noach Cafe and Bistro, Surabaya, East Java, Tuesday (June 5). The event was themed "SERA, Mobility Solution in Ramadan".

Present as speakers were TRAC Chief Operating Officer Agus Riyadi, mobil88 President Director Halomoan Fischer, IBID-Balai Lelang Serasi President Director Daddy Doxa Manurung, and O-RENZ Taxi Operation Manager Andhika Pramanta.

More than 30 representatives of media in Surabaya attended the event. They looked enthusiastic when listening to the latest news from SERA business lines.

"Currently, SERA is operating three business lines, which are integrated transportation solution through TRAC-Astra Rent a Car and O-RENZ Taxi, used car sales business through mobil88 and IBID-Balai Lelang Serasi, as well as logistics business line through SELOG," SERA Marketing Division Head Fransisca said, opening the media gathering event.

On this occasion, Riyadi, as speakers, said that demands for rental service always increase nearing Eid al-Fitr. Most of the demands were for the needs of homebound trip and Eid holiday.

"The increase is at least 30%," Riyadi revealed.

Answering the trend, TRAC offered "Ayo Mudik" for renting car without driver from June 3-24, 2018. People can enjoy extra day of renting for free if they use this package.

For homecoming package, TRAC also offered homecoming promo using bus going to Semarang, Solo, and Yogyakarta. The same promo also applied for the reverse flow.

Moreover, TRAC also prepared various travel packages for Eid holiday, such as travel packages to Bromo, Malang, and, Batu, and Surabaya's historical tour.

After Riyadi, Fischer had the chance to reveal used car sales trend during Ramadan and nearing Eid. 

"Used car sales in mobil88 usually increase by more than 15%," Fischer said.

He also explained that this trend encouraged mobil88 to provide customer satisfaction through various attractive programs. One of them was "Ramadan & Lebaran Untung mobil88" promo program from May 23–June 30, 2018, which was applicable nationally in all branches of mobil88.

"Customers will receive various benefits if they buy cars during Ramadan & Lebaran Untung program, such as cashback worth millions of rupiah," he continued.

Meanwhile, on the same occasion, Doxa explained that IBID also provided various used vehicles sold through auctions.

Aside from four-wheeled and two-wheeled vehicles, IBID also managed auction lots such as heavy machinery, laptop, computer, and smartphone.

"Seeing a high demand, we provided new website facility so that people can participate not only in on-site auctions, but also in online and live auctions," Doxa said.

For transportation solution, SERA Group does not only offer vehicle rental service, but also public transportation needs for mobility in Surabaya through O-RENZ Taxi. 

Andhika explained about the quality of O-RENZ Taxi drivers who had good local know-hows. The drivers understand the ins-and-outs of streets in Surabaya so that it is easier for the customers to reach their destinations.

"To increase customer comfort, O-RENZ Taxi also facilitates taxi booking through chat application Whatsapp," Andhika added.

After the session was finished and iftar came, the journalists enjoyed the food. The event was closed with a warm conversation between journalists and speakers.

Through this media gathering, SERA hoped that good partnership will be maintained with journalist partners in Surabaya.
