As Part of Business Transformation, SERA Launches Three Applications to Buy, Auction, and Rent Cars

PT Serasi Autoraya (SERA), part of Astra International, conducted digital business transformation by launching three apps at the same time to make buying, auctioning, and renting cars easier. The three applications are mobil88 e-store, TRAC to Go, and IBID Live Auction.

The new applications and the renewal of websites are expected to make buying, auctioning, and renting cars easier for the sake of customers’ mobility, especially as Eid al-Fitr and school holiday are approaching.

“We want to add our services to our customers in Indonesia, especially ones that are digital-based (including) car auction, used car trade, and car rental. They are expected to serve customers in a fast, safe, and easy manner. This day also marked future product launches by Astra Group,” SERA President Director Firman Yosafat Siregar said in Grand Hall, Gandaria City, South Jakarta, on Thursday (May 9, 2019).

“Innovations carried out by SERA Group are our responses to the trend among consumers who now prioritize information access and online transactions through smartphones. We want to give the best experience to customers through the latest features that make it easier for them whenever and wherever they are,” he continued.

mobil88 e-store allows customers to buy a car directly. If previously a customer must go to a showroom, with the new website and application, customers can directly conduct transactions online.

They can already request to book a car, apply for a car test drive, and directly buy a car online. They are also offered various payment options, from full payment, installment scheme, to booking fee payment.

Other features available are creditworthiness calculator to calculate credit simulation and know how worthy someone is to apply for loan; car comparison; favorite items; and photos that comprehensively show cars from the exterior, the interior, to the engine.

Car rental is an increasingly developing business in the last few years, especially renting through application, for both personal and corporate purposes.

To answer the need, TRAC presents TRAC To Go, an application that offers car rental, from small family cars, medium-sized cars, to buses. Customers can also opt to rent a car with or without a driver.

Customers can enjoy airport pick-up with a rented car, with order accepted up to 12 hours before pick-up time in various locations in Indonesia with various options and types of cars. Buses in various sizes, from small buses with 13 seats to big buses with 59 seats, are also available to rent.

Meanwhile, IBID Live Auction application offers renewed auction system, allowing participants to take part in an auction online and in real time, without having to go to the auction house.

The features available on IBID’s website and app include buying Participant Number (NPL) online, real-time notification/transaction process tracking, comparing several cars simultaneously, and checking 360-degree photographs of the interior of cars.

“We hope our new apps and website interfaces can serve as solutions for the people to meet their need for transportation and for buying used cars in a more convenient, easy, quick, and safe manner,” Firman Yosafat said.
