On July 14, 2021, SERA organizes SERA 2021 Macroeconomics Webinar with the topic of Prediction, Scenario & Indicator of Macroeconomics, Global & Indonesia in 2021-2022. The Macroeconomics Webinar is an annual event held to observe Indonesia’s economic condition so that companies can devise the right strategy to formulate their work plans in 2020. In accordance with the PPKM-related government regulations, the event is held online just like in the last year.
The speaker at this event is Muhammad Chatib Basri, a senior economist. The event is attended by all of SERA’s management personnel and leaders from the head office and all subsidiaries. In a rather engaging presentation and discussion, Chatib Basri thinks that the challenging condition in Indonesia will last until 2022, especially in the transportation and automotive sectors. He also emphasizes the correlation between the rate of vaccination and the rate of economic recovery. Nevertheless, there are still some opportunities that can be seized by SERA to stay relevant during the pandemic. Firman Yosafat Siregar, SERA’s Presiden Director, also expresses the same sentiment as Chatib Basri. Yosafat urges all SERA Personnel to stay optimistic in facing the pandemic and stay smart in searching for new opportunities and market potential that have not been seized by SERA.
“It is expected that with the webinar, we can devise the right strategy in facing all these challenges so that we can all move forward and realize a better SERA. Furthermore, all employees are encouraged to always maintain their physical and mental health as well as comply with the health protocol. We can do this!” concluded Yosafat.
