SERA ORGANIZES MEDIA GATHERING 2022

After 2 years, the big family of SERA Group was able to organize SERA Media Gathering event offline on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at Greyhound Café, Senopati. The event featured Chief Operating Officer of TRAC Halomoan Fischer, President Director of mobil88 Naga Sujady, and President Director of IBID-Balai Lelang Serasi Daddy Doxa Manurung as the speakers.

It was attended by 30 media representatives who seemed enthusiastic when listening to the latest news from each SERA Group company. Especially, this was the first offline event after more than 2 years of only meeting online. In accordance with the health protocol regarding the pandemic, all participants had been tested and declared healthy before attending the event.

The event was opened with lunch and remarks from Fransisca as the representative of SERA Corporate Communication Head. “I am excited to be here today meeting with all media colleagues. The objective of this event, apart from strengthening our relationships, is to share some business updates related to SERA Group subsidiaries. Hopefully, the information can be useful for all of us. Thank you for taking the time to attend this event.”

The event continued with a talk show where all representatives explained the latest business conditions of SERA Group subsidiaries. On this occasion, Fischer Halomoan, as the COO of TRAC Rental, explained that the demand for vehicle rental during Eid had increased quite significantly. “The surge was only seen in 2022 when people could finally travel long distances for Eid homecoming. During the pandemic, the total vehicles rented were never above 800 units per month. However, in 2022, it reached 1,200 units a month," said Fischer.

Naga Sujady, as the President Director of mobil88, shared the trend of used car sales in January–April 2022 that saw an increase of around 13–15 percent compared to the same period in the previous year. Sujady explained that he targeted an increase of 15–20 percent this year. On the same occasion, the President Director of IBID Daddy Doxa briefly explained that IBID’s performance this year was also quite stable, although all auctions were held online. He also stated that the auctioned items are more diverse, comprising not only automotive items but also non-automotive items such as gadget, electronics, heavy equipment, and scrap items.

“Because of the high demand, we have published a new online auction method on IBID application, namely Flash Auction. This type of auction is held for a short duration and is not tied to any regular auction schedule. Flash Auction is also equipped with Live Streaming feature, a live broadcast conducted by IBID inspectors to explain the condition of the vehicles being auctioned. Not forget to mention, all participants can communicate directly through the Live Chat feature,” said Doxa.

After the talk show session was over, the event continued with an informal talk session, a quiz session to increase the excitement of the event, and a group photo session. Then, the event was closed with a music band performance presented by the media partners.

Through this media gathering, SERA expected to maintain its close relationship and cooperation with the media partners.
