In its ongoing contribution to foster a safe driving culture in Indonesia, PT Serasi Autoraya (SERA), through its SERA Cerdas Indonesia initiative, demonstrated its commitment again by organizing an educational campaign entitled ‘Ayo Aman Berlalu Lintas’ (Let’s Drive Safely). This activity was held on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at the Astra Biz Center, BSD City, in a strategic collaboration with the Imani Learning Center and Polda Metro Jaya.
Fifty ambulance drivers from various regions, including Jakarta, Depok, Bogor, Bekasi, Banten, and Lampung, participated in an intensive training program designed to strengthen their technical competency and raise their awareness as road safety pioneers.
The event was opened by AKP Didik Sapto Raharjo, S.H., from the Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police (Polda Metro Jaya), who delivered a presentation entitled ‘ Kolaborasi Polisi di Jalan Raya’ (Police Collaboration on the Highway). In his presentation, he emphasized the importance of collaboration between police officers and ambulance drivers in creating a safe, orderly, and responsive system for managing emergency traffic.
The next session presented Happy Putro Wibowo, the Corporate General Affairs, Social Responsibility, Health Safety Security and Environment (CGASRHSSE) Division Head at SERA, who presented material under the theme ‘7 Mindset Driver Ambulance #MenanamKebaikan di Jalan Raya’ (7 Mindsets of Ambulance Drivers #PlantingKindness on the Highway). This material aims to foster a positive mindset, an empathetic attitude, and a sense of social responsibility in the performance of duties as an ambulance driver.
"Ambulance drivers carry more than just patients; they carry hope. With the right mindset, they can become agents of change on the road," said Happy Putro in the briefing session.
The next topic was delivered by Ridwan Ika Purwoko, SERA's Corporate Social Responsibility Supervisor, who presented training on Defensive Driving. He emphasized the importance of safe, anticipatory, and mindful driving skills—especially when dealing with emergencies on the road.
To conclude the program, all participants took part in an interactive discussion session and pledged their commitment to becoming pioneers in road safety. As a symbolic gesture, each participant received a ‘Pelopor Keselamatan Lalu Lintas’ (Road Safety Pioneer) pin, officially recognizing them as Safety Ambassadors within their respective communities.
The event was officially closed by Agus Supriyadi, Head of the Health, Safety, Environment, and Compliance Department at SERA, who expressed his appreciation for the participants’ enthusiasm. He also emphasized that ambulance drivers play a vital role in creating an emergency transportation system that is safe, fast, and centered on human safety.
This activity is part of SERA’s ongoing commitment to supporting the national transportation safety program. Through education, training, and cross-sector collaboration, SERA believes that road safety is a shared responsibility, and that every party has an important role in building a better and more humane traffic environment.
