Showing its concern for the environment, PT Serasi Autoraya (SERA) held the “Festival Sahabat Mangrove” on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at Angke Kapuk Nature Park, North Jakarta.
This event was made possible through the collaboration of SERA, PT Murindra Karya Lestari, and the Trash Ranger environmental community. This festival combines art, education, and conservation through a variety of engaging activities.
Participants were taught to make batik using natural dye from mangrove root waste. They also attended a talk show titled #MenanamKebaikan (#PlantingKindness), released rehabilitated otters, cleaned the coast, and planted mangroves with the community and society.
The atmosphere livened up with Kaka Slank’s performance, which conveyed the message of environmental conservation through music.
"Through this festival, SERA shows a real commitment to safeguard coastal ecosystems through collaborative actions between companies, communities, and society,” said Happy Putro Wibowo, head of SERA’s GA, SR & HSSE Division.
Festival Sahabat Mangrove is not only a conservation effort but also a celebration of the Republic of Indonesia's Independence Day, a perfect moment to foster nationality and concern for nature, for a more sustainable future.
This event aligns with the two pillars of SERA's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR): Environmental Care and Community Empowerment. Both also support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly:
Quality Education
Climate Action
