PT Serasi Autoraya (SERA) restates its commitment to diversity and sustainability through the SERA Cerdas program.
The program was part of the Perkemahan Pramuka Berkebutuhan Khusus (PPBK) Tingkat Nasional (National Scout Camp for Special Needs Children), which took place on August 14–18, 2025, at Bumi Perkemahan dan Graha Wisata Pramuka (Buperta) Wiladatika, Cibubur, East Jakarta.
On this occasion, SERA held a training session on stamped and hand-drawn batik using natural dyes made from mangrove (Rhizophora) extract. The event was attended by more than 370 participants from 22 provinces, including adolescents with various disabilities, including intellectual, physical, visual, hearing, and neurodivergent conditions.
Participants are taught not only batik techniques, but also the philosophy of batik as the nation's cultural heritage and its relationship to environmental conservation efforts and marine ecosystems.
Each participant is very enthusiastic to showcase their creativity through unique and meaningful batik works.
This collaboration of art, technology, and local wisdom in the SERA Cerdas program is expected to accommodate the younger generation to express themselves while contributing positively to the environment.
This initiative also aligns with SERA's three pillars of social responsibility: Education, Environment, and Community Empowerment.
SERA believes that big changes start with small steps. By creating an inclusive and meaningful learning space, SERA Cerdas provides equal opportunities for young people from diverse backgrounds, including those with disabilities, to continue learning, develop, and make a positive impact on society and the environment.
