As part of its commitment to environmental preservation and community economic empowerment, PT Serasi Autoraya (SERA), in collaboration with the Indonesian Youth Conservation Foundation (YAPERSI), launched the #MenanamKebaikan (“Planting Goodness”) program in the mangrove coastal area of Cuku Nyinyi, Lampung.
This initiative is one of SERA’s CSR programs, combining environmental conservation efforts with training for Batik Buana MSMEs.
The focus of the activity is the development of eco-friendly batik using natural dyes derived from mangrove waste.
During the training session, participants learned the hand-drawn batik technique with dyes extracted from mangrove bark.
This innovation is not only environmentally friendly but also opens new economic opportunities for coastal communities by creating unique, sustainable products.
As part of the #MenanamKebaikan initiative, SERA also carried out mangrove planting in the Cuku Nyinyi area.
This activity marks the beginning of a long-term mentoring program that includes entrepreneurship training, capacity-building in production, and independent micro-business management.
“Through the #MenanamKebaikan program, we aim to foster collaboration between nature conservation and community economic growth.Batik made with natural mangrove-based dyes is the tangible manifestation of this harmony,” said a YAPERSI representative.
The program is expected to encourage the birth of competitive, environmentally conscious, and sustainable MSMEs, while also empowering communities to actively preserve mangrove forests as natural coastal protectors in Lampung.
