Serasi Autoraya (SERA) held another SERA Cerdas program under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) scheme, in Ragunan Campground, South Jakarta, on Tuesday, June 13, 2023. Demonstrating the process of making hand-drawn batik.the event was named “Strengthening Sustainability Movement Through Batik.”It was a collaboration between SERA and its supported Inclusive MSMEs group, Rumah Batik Palbatu. The event was part of a Scout Sub-branch Jamboree 2023 attended by students at elementary and middle schools of Jagakarsa district.Making batik is not merely drawing wax on a plain white fabric. It also embodies the Javanese philosophy of Tridaya, consisting of cipta, rasa, and karsa (creation, emotion, and execution)to guarantee the batik's high quality.In this activity, the students learned about the cultural heritage of batik and how to preserve it, while also supported to achieve the 4th Sustainable Development Goal in Indonesia.
