PT Serasi Autoraya (SERA) teamed up once more with IMANI Care to organize a social initiative titled “Ambulance Drivers’ Competence Improvement” on March 7, 2026 at the Hidayatullah Mosque, Bekasi.

This program was part of the #MenanamKebaikan (#PlantingKindness) movement, aimed at equipping ambulance drivers not only with driving skills but also with the alertness to respond to medical conditions on site. This program is aligned with SERA’s social responsibility pillar in the fields of education and health.

When performing their duties, ambulance drivers bear significant responsibility in ensuring that patients safely reach healthcare facilities.

Therefore, this program emphasized that ambulance drivers must not only drive quickly but also prioritize safety.

A total of 30 drivers participated in this program and learned essential information on basic life support and first-aid measures, such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the Heimlich maneuver.

Participants also learned about ambulance equipment standards used in emergency situations.

The program also highlighted the importance of defensive driving and the implementation of ambulance speed SOPs.

The materials included guidelines on setting appropriate vehicle speeds across different situations (emergency, patient referral, and body transportation) to maintain the safety of patients, medical personnel, and other road users.

This program is expected to enhance ambulance drivers’ confidence and readiness to carry out their duties, enabling them to serve the community in a more responsive, professional, and safe manner.
