Being prepared for emergencies can be a crucial step in saving lives. To commemorate World Heart Day on September 27, 2026, PT Serasi Autoraya (SERA), through its corporate social responsibility (CSR) program, is hosting a series of training sessions on cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and choking first aid.

These activities took place from August 29 to September 26, 2026, at Krebet Tourism Village in Yogyakarta, Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), the North Jakarta Branch Headquarters (Kwarcab), and the DKI Jakarta Provincial Headquarters (Kwarda).

The training combined theory with hands-on practice to help participants understand the steps for providing first aid in emergency situations. Participants came from various segments of the community.

They were equipped with the knowledge to recognize the signs of sudden cardiac arrest, learn chest compression techniques for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), and practice the Heimlich Maneuver to assist people who are choking.

The training series was opened by SERA’s Corporate Human Resources Division Head, Kartika Ryan Sanjaya. In her remarks, Ryan emphasized the importance of first aid knowledge for the public, so they can respond appropriately when facing medical emergencies.

According to her, through the “SERA Cerdas” program, SERA aims to help raise public awareness about the importance of health and safety, while also equipping people with basic skills that can be applied in daily life.

“On the occasion of World Heart Day, SERA wants to encourage the public to be better prepared to handle medical emergencies. That way, the public can play a vital role in helping to save the lives of others,” said Ryan.

Through this series of training sessions, SERA also hopes that more people will gain the basic knowledge and skills needed to handle emergency situations.

Moving forward, SERA will continue to offer educational programs designed to raise public awareness of the importance of health and safety.
